Just think happy thought...murder death, kill...ahhh

Not much has been said about the MMO Aion: Tower of Eternity that's being prepped over in Korea. And aside from the screenshots that wowed us with images of angel wings (not in an FF title to boot!), and the fleeting interview with Ju-hyun Jang, who said just enough to keep us tingled, a lot of us are pretty much in the dark on what to expect...until now.

NCSoft's just broken the silence by releasing this gameplay video that'll provide for a teaser of what's to come when the game does take flight - literally. The vid's going to be showcasing the free-flight mode that their devs have been talking about for ages, and while it doesn't show anything closely resembling the game's Tower of Eternity, the vid does add weight to the devs saying it's one purdy game - there's plenty of hack 'n slash and spell-nuking too. Enjoy!

Aion

The upcoming NCSoft MMO, Aion: The Tower of Eternity, was claimed by our source as "the most visually beautiful MMORPG ever made." Now that sure is one big claim, but we gotta admit, this game does show promise.

First of all, the elements of the game itself are intriguing: there's the Tower of Eternity that is a sort of a portal; there's the Abyss which serves as a kind of "dragon jail"; there are characters classified as either "The Chosen" or "The Fallen"; and basically the world's fate is lies in your hands. Also, the lines between "good" and "bad" are blurred, to complicate things further.

Anyway, WorthPlaying had a recent a interview with Aion Producer Ju-hyun Jang, and he's gotten us more excited about this game more than ever.

Although he's a bit hush hush about the details, he said that there's a "unique feel" to the game's design, the Crytec game engine's being used here, and that they're going to provide a "very powerful customization tool- perhaps more powerful than anything else you've seen".

Interestingly, Ju-hyun Jang says you won't have to kill a thousand monsters or do a quest a hundred times just to level up. Quite a breather, isn't it? We sure can't wait for it!
