Blizzard has already announced that BlizzCon 2009 attendees will be getting a new pet, and today we finally get to see what it is: a Murloc Marine named Grunty. Check out a video of this little critter after the jump.

Get your wallets ready, Blizzard fans. Tickets for this year's BlizzCon will be going on sale next Sunday, May 16, and you better have some cash on hand. The tickets will go for US$ 125 each and will be available on the official BlizzCon website. If you miss out, there's also a second batch of tickets going on sale May 20. While a bunch of lucky gamers get to be in Japan this weekend for the Tokyo Game Show, that doesn't mean there's nothing else interesting in our own backyards. Blizzard is reminding everyone that BlizzCon 2008 will be opening its gates this Friday, October 10.

Well, Blizzard Entertainment and DirecTV have joined forces to bring us a special promo that will get you eleven months of free gametime. All you need to do is sign up for a DirecTV subscription between today up until November 30 and you'll get WoW for eleven months. And of course, the operative word is "free". Also, new DirecTV subscribers who don't have the game yet will be presented with a copy of World of Warcraft and a unique authentication code that allows users to upgrade on trial account to full account with a month's worth of free gametime for that particular account.
