The space-faring residents of EVE Online will want to know that their MMORPG's trinity patch 1.1 has been announced for release next week.

This update will carry several improvements for the game's vessels, fleet communications, and market filtering. Details are in the full article.

Eve Online players may want to know that CCP will be unfitting ships based on the changes made during the Trinity expansion. If you have any ships with fittings that shouldn't be there, you'll probably want to remove them before CCP does it for you.

Those of you who have Valve Corporation's digital distribution platform installed on your PCs might have already noticed the newest game to join the Steam roster of downloadable titles. CCP Games' EVE Online gains the distinction of being the first MMO game made available via Steam and gives players a chance to try out this futuristic Sci-Fi game for free.

An exploit that players have discovered is allowing them to rapid-fire their way to victory in EVE Online's Starbases lately and Icelandic developers CCP Games aren't too pleased about it. They've issued a stern warning in the official site to let players know that this isn't helping the community. A new patch is said to be in the works and we hope it comes out soon.

Despite the problems it's having with the latest Trinity patch, MMORPG EVE Online was able to break a new record in terms of the number of simultaneous users in one of CCP Games' servers for the title.

CCP Games wrote, "On 2007.12.09 20:18 Tranquility’s simultaneous user number reached an astonishing 41,690 up from 38,242. This marks yet another proud moment in EVE Online’s history." More details after the jump!

If you're one of the unfortunate victims from updating your copy of EVE Online, then you'll be relieved to know that CCP Games has released a step-by-step procedure on how to check if your Windows XP's boot.ini was affected and how to restore your system settings.

The problem started with the game's latest Trinity patch, where users who downloaded the upgrade from the Classic to Premium Graphics Content had their Windows XP's boot.ini file replaced. Read about the detailed instruction right after the jump!
