It's been almost a year since Bioware and LucasArts announced Star Wars: The Old Republic, and now they're finally ready to start letting gamers try out the new MMO. Both companies have announced that beta signups are now a go starting today.

Some changes are also in store for RPG heavyweight BioWare and MMO studio Mythic Entertainment. Electronic Arts has announced that the two studios will be restructured into a single group that will handle RPG and MMO games development.
