Square Enix - Image 1A couple of days ago, Square Enix revealed that they will be showing three unannounced games at their E3 presentation. FF7 Cloud StrifeWhen you're talking about Square Enix in a global scale, there's no doubting that they've managed to rake in huge amounts of sales for all their franchises. Final Fantasy? Kingdom Hearts? And of course, the more recently acquired Tomb Raider? How do they all stack up against each other? It's not surprising that they're raking sales by the millions for these big franchises. I'm just left wondering... how do they fare against lifetime sales for MGS, GTA, CoD, and the like?

Final Fantasy XI - Image 1If things went differently, we could have actually been romping around Vana'diel and consorting with Shantotto on the PS3. Turns out that Square Enix had plans to release Final Fantasy XI on the PS3 as well. According to Hiromichi Tanaka, the PS3 version could have seen the light of day if only Sony didn't fall short on the bargain. More so, continuing plans of getting the MMORPG on the console are proving fruitless because PS2 backwards compatibility across all PS3 SKUs is looking quite impossible.

Dissidia - Shantotto - Image 1And you thought that the character roster for Dissidia was over? Ha! Not by a long shot, if you consider the non-main characters! The hero and villain rosters may be complete for those coming from FF to FFX. Today, the question of whether we'll be seeing other icons from other FF games is answered. First up: Final Fantasy XI, represent! Handheld brawlers-in-waiting, I introduce to you: Shantotto! "Eh, who the hell is that?!"

Tidal Talisman - Image 1Square Enix is offering a new item from their Final Fantasy XI Players' Collection. Called the Tidal Talisman, this little showpiece has a corresponding in-game item which you'll receive when you purchase the item. A must have for die-hard FF fans. I'd buy it myself, but only if it summoned Leviathan.

Square Enix - Image 1That was a quick resolution. Unlike other acquisition stories that we know of, Tecmo and Square Enix have already settled the score. Unfortunately for Squeenix, Tecmo hearts Koei more, and so takes the gentlemanly way out.
