Pirates of the Caribbean Online - Live the legend - Image 1

And just when the world thought Disney couldn't pull it off, we are all reminded by the captain we all have come to love from the popular movie franchise: "You're forgettin' one thing mate, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow!" Yes, he'll be coming to you as promised, along with Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann among others, in this brand new swashbuckling MMORPG adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean Online .

In keeping with similar titles like Sid Meier's Pirates!, the players can sail the high seas in search of treasure and the grandeur (if there is any) of notoriety. All players will be able to create and customize their pirate alter egos, build and outfit their own ship, recruit a crew, and embark on adventures and quests in an effort to become the most feared pirate in the Caribbean.

The MMORPG will offer two options for players in its launch this spring of 2007: A free, ad-supported section of the game to let players try the game out and a pay-to-play access to the full game chock full of premium features.

The free access option, known as Basic Access, will allow players to experience a lot of the gameplay and features. Ads will be present in Basic Access sessions, to allow advertising partners to associate with the brand. But for a monthly fee of just US$ 9.95 for the Unlimited Access, players will gain access to the full feature set and customizations of the game, including some features limited in Basic Access.

At the Full Article are the game features and some screens and artworks. We also have a few insider videos for you landlubbers to check out, plus a "sizzle reel" and a mini-game download if you click the "Via" link below.
