It'll still take a while before Wrath of the Lich King gets here, but in the meantime, Blizzard's doing a number on World of Warcraft's Public Test Realms. New talents are available across the board, and Blizzard's reimbursing everyone's talent points in the PTR. At least you don't have to waste cash on your Class Trainer to unlearn them all. Check out the full patch notes for PTR 3.0.2 in the full article! |

And in the world of competitive gaming, the Championship Gaming Series ladder stage has concluded recently, allowing the current top-five teams in each battlegroup to head for the qualifiers round. The second stage will decide which U.S. and European teams can face off at World of Warcraft Arena 2v2 showdown at the upcoming BlizzCon. From 13 battlegroups, 65 teams will have to double-team their way through the best of the best for a sure ticket inside of Blizzard's Anaheim event. Regional qualifiers already got their passport to Blizzard's haven some time back, and now it's time for 16 lucky ones (eight from Europe, eight from U.S.) to get their share of the opportunity. Now while no names have been officially announced, we've gone through the hard way of extracting all the top five teams of all battlegroups and listed them here. Hopefully the list was updated in time for this announcement, but if it wasn't then consider these names not etched in stone. Click on Full Article for the full list of (possibly) qualifying teams from each battlegroup. |

Taking another look at the rank list for the qualifying Arena 5v5 teams for the miniscule upper bracket, we see there's a new line up (though mostly unchanged) teams from each battlegroup that could stand to qualify for the main Arena tournaments. The qualification round is set to end on April 15, about the time you'd better comply with tax filing. The list now stands at:

Without much of a warning, Blizzard Entertainment suddenly upped and named Battlegrounds groups for the North American and Oceanic World of Warcraft realms. After a thorough look at the game's official site, we noticed that all servers are still in the same groups and nothing really was changed. The 11 names are the follwing: Bloodlust, Cyclone, Nightfall, Rampage, Reckoning, Ruin, Shadowburn, Stormstrike, Vengeance, Vindication, and Whirlwind. It's noteworthy that three of these are in fact, taken from Warlock abilities and there are actually none from the Druid. Furthermore, some are speculating that the names were given because of th upcoming Arena PVP patch. Logically, this would make it easier to know which group belongs to what server. Again, as of the moment, the names are just names. They don't affect the game save - maybe - for strengthening a player's identity. |
