Blizzard poster Ommra has added a new hotfix to the list of latest hotfixes found on the official European World of Warcraft forums. This particular hotfix makes it easier for WoW players to get a Mystic Dawnstone for themselves as a jewelcrafting recipe for the item can now be bought from vendors in Halaa. The Mystic Dawnstone recipe used to have an incredibly long respawn time, so this hotfix should be a welcome addition. As for the Mystic Dawnstone itself, it's a rare quality gem that can be put into a yellow socket and gives a ten-point boost to a character's Resilience, raising a character's defense against critical hits. |

The wailing and gnashing of teeth on the Paladin Forums might be coming to an end. Retribution paladins should rejoice at the good news that Blizzard poster Ommra brought to the WoW Europe Forums. An announcement was made in an old thread from Cromfel, who listed all the things that needed to be reviewed in the Retribution tree. It discusses issues like the lacking talents and the ret pally's effectiveness during raids. Ommra dropped by the thread again and gave this statement: Hello again, I just wanted to let you know that the developers have taken part of your suggestions, and are looking into improving the retribution paladin spec. You can probably expect something along the line of more sustained DPS in a raid and more raid utility, but we are not ready to reveal any details. This is still work in progress, so please be patient :) The said post was met with woots and various expressions of joy. The thread is actually 694 posts as we speak (35 pages) and expect it to keep growing as more blue updates come from the powers that be in the World of Warcraft. We'll make sure we'll be there when the announcements come, so stay tuned and remember: patience is a virtue. |

Things are getting pretty hot over at the World of Warcraft Europe Forums as Blizzard poster Ommra explained (or tried to explain) what was being done about the issues of the missing Armored Nether Drakes and Gladiator titles.Impatient players unleashed their brand of infernal rain upon the blues Ommra and Aeus. We guess it can't be helped since players are basically flustered customers waiting for their rewards. Anyway, the problem revolves around some players not receiving the flying mount and the "Gladiator" title. Some players did receive them however, making those who didn't even more impatient. Here's what Ommra said: At this time it only appears to have affected select realms. Since then we’ve been able to determine that the issue was specifically an error in rewarding teams appropriately. We’re currently in the process of testing a fix, using data recorded from when the realms were brought down for maintenance to determine if this fix will correct the issue. We're waiting for the fix to be tested before discussing how the issue will be resolved as we simply don't know what the best available course of action we can take is until we have a working solution. So players, that might be the best thing to do right now: wait. You don't want to lose your temper on the forums - you'll lose your privileges there as well. |

We're all tired of spam, you can be sure of that. It's good that Blizzard understands that the frustration of getting flooded by such inane ads or the like. The World of Warcraft's anti-spamming tool has been updated to the cover easy reporting when in groups as well. The update was reported over the World of Warcraft Forums by Eyonix on the US side and Ommra on the EU forums. Generally, the announcements included instructions on how to use the said feature: The new spam-reporting feature has been updated so that you can now report members inside your group or raid. This will allow players who are invited to groups created for purposes of spam to report the abuse appropriately. To report this type of spam, simply right-click on the player's name in the chat interface, and choosing the "Report Spam" option. Once you have selected this option, a dialogue box will open to confirm that you wish to report the target player, and your report will be sent once you confirm your choice. Please make sure you're only using this reporting feature for spam. All other forms of abuse should be reported appropriately, by petitioning a Game Master. No, you can't use the feature to report abusive language and harassment. Those cases will still be reported the same way, by sending a ticket to a GM. Regardless, it's a nice gesture, and one that should hopefully help in the fight against spam. |

On the World of Warcraft PvP servers, there are people of all kinds, such as newbies who run at the sight of other characters from the opposing faction, to the battle-hardened veteran who kill for sport or gain (usually both). The funniest and most amusing stories come from the latter and it's that kind of story which was posted at the WoW Europe forums. You see, a dwarf paladin was killing a few Harvest Golems when two Horde players just stood behind him. Now, he panicked and started running. He never realized that he had to be flagged in order to be attacked. These two Horde players just followed this character around until the dwarf decided to jump into the ocean and swim away. What happened to the poor paladin after, nobody knows. Blizzard Poster/ Moderator Ommra shared a story which was pretty much the same. It ended on a happy note though with Ommra and members from the opposite side dancing together. Quite a few players would agree that this is the fun of being in the PvP server. The nervousness one gets in getting from one point to the next, never knowing when a patrol of higher leveled players would pass by and kill him. For players who prefer to role-play, being in a PvP server actually makes players feel the social enmity between the Horde and Alliance. On the downside, it is more difficult to climb the ranks with higher leveled characters seeing you as target practice. In addition, there are a lot of competitive players who may not be as nice as those you can find in PvE servers. So is this a call to play in a PvP server? If you can hack it, why not? Try something new and experience playing in a PvP server, it might actually be fun. |

Over at the official World of Warcraft community site for Europe, a handful of players are claiming that Misdirect is not functioning as intended in Karahzan. Reports vary from "not working at all" to "only the first two shots are working." As you all know, Misdirect is very important especially when you are raiding a boss. Blizzard's Ommra commented on the matter. According to the forum moderator, Misdirect is only transferring threat from the first two sources of damage done by the hunter. Ommra added that the problem has been noted and will be fixed in the upcoming patch. While the problem has been isolated in Karahzan, some of the WoW players reported that the same is true in other areas such as Thorngrin the Tender in The Botanice. We really do hope that this gets fixed soon. As of now, various guilds are currently downing bosses in all places inside The Black Temple. It seems that some of these guilds won't be needing this at all... |

Abb-Mage 4-70 PvP Video Tablet As early as February on the release of four Abb the trailer, after three months, and finally to see this work published. This gift to 17/0/44, a lot of the battlefield, field and dues, dazzling 1vN. This works in the video, he devoted little to appreciate about this long-awaited master works! [insert the keylogger link here] Hmm... If we were to make a fool proof plan to avoid this stuff completely, we'd advise you to stay away from posts that contain bad English. Anyway, Blizzard poster Ommra was present to address the concern (and to eliminate the pesky threads as well). So kids, better stay away from the suspicious links. And make sure to scan your PCs afterwards. |

Blizzard spokesman Ommra dropped by the World of Warcraft Europe Forums to announce a quick update for WoW's Arena Season 2. The blue-texter explained that new equipment and weapons would be available come the next season and would obtainable via the arena reward vendor. Current arena rewards are still obtainable via the same vendors. That's all the information Ommra's provided for at the moment - missing is details on the new gear, or when season 2 is expected to kick in. Just stick around in case this information gets updated. |

For those who have progressed to the point where they have level 70 characters in World of Warcraft, this is just icing on the cake. Blizzard poster/Forum Moderator Ommra has posted the level 70 combat rating system updates they did and quite frankly, it looks pretty good. We're not saying that all the updates were amazing, but in a competitive setting the 1% difference could make or break the game. Think of those times when you needed just one more crit to send an opponent to his maker and he needs one more hit to take you down. It won't work all the time, but that 1% advantage you have will make a difference. Anyway, here's Ommra's update. Combat rating system update (70):

It's a known fact on World of Warcraft that if you share your account, you'll be banned. It seems though that for some, there are some loopholes with this policy by Blizzard. For one, is account sharing the same as account lending? Yes and No. You see, like most things in life there are gray areas on this matter. For example, giving out your user name and password for someone to level your character is grounds for deletion; however, letting your child use your account to play WoW is not. This specific topic has sparked a lot of talk between people in the forums. Blizzard Poster/Forum Moderator Ommra gave a few words of wisdom on the topic. The only person who should have the account details is YOU. No one else. No cats, siblings, brothers, sisters. Maybe parents, so they can use the parental control.
The reason for this is safety. Your account just isn't safe if you go share the details with people. It is your responsibility to keep your account safe. Not meaning to sound harsh, just wanted to make it clear once and for all :) That's well and good, but it doesn't really clear up the topic. What constitutes a banning from lending? If I let my friend play on my account because he wanted to try the game out on higher levels, is this reason for Blizzard to ban me? Do they simply wash their hands in case I check my account one morning to find my Shaman stripped of all its equips? What do you guys think? |
