The fourth BlizzCon gaming convention is coming, Blizzard Entertainment's just announced today. For this year, it will be happening on August 21-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. List of things to look forward to in the full article, so do make that jump!

This is not surprising at all, but that being the case, it doesn't mean it's any less newsworthy. Blizzard has just sent out a press wire proudly proclaiming that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King has just reached a whopping subscriber base of 11.5 million worldwide.

Should we even be surprised? Blizzard sends out a press wire stating that their World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King title has broken the Day-1 sales record. This, on top of making it to the top of UK Charts and setting a new record for biggest entertainment launch in UK.

Console ports for MMOs seems to be quite the trend lately. So what about Blizzard's World of Warcraft? Aren't they worried that if someone beats them to the punch, they'll loose out. Not really, according to Mike Morhaime. Guess this means a World of Warcraft console port is still a looooooong ways off.
