The Granado Espada logo - Image 1It's not very often that an MMORPG expansion gets to be named by fans. In Sword of the New World: Granado Espada's case, fans got precisely what they asked for in the aptly named Manifest Destiny expansion, and then some.

The difference isn't just in the name, however, as K2 Network has throw in new recruitable UPCs, new maps and zones, new events, new elections and new store items. That's just the tip of the iceberg; the full article awaits after the jump, as always.

Sword of the New World: Granado Espada is free to play - Image 1The publisher of Sword of the New World: Granado Espada, K2 Network, has given word that the game will be completely free to play. When this game was first launched, it was free only until a character reached level 20. After which, the players had to pay a subscription fee if they wanted to continue.

Those who still want access to some of the more exclusive content will still be able to access the Cash Merchant to get rare items and equipment. CEO and Founder of K2 Network Joshua Hong spoke about the details of this move in a recent press release:

We are extremely excited about this title, especially with such gorgeous graphics and the ability to play up to three characters at once, but Free2Play up to level 20 just isn't enough! At K2 Network, we put Gamers First, and thanks to the community supporting this game, we are now able to offer the same Free2Play model as all of our other titles. It's Free2play all the way!

If you still have a month of subscription time, don't worry because K2 Network will be giving you 1,000 Cash Shop Gold and three web unique characters:
Adelina Esperanza, Lisa Lynway, and M'boma. All of these are worth US$ 40, making this a pretty sweet deal for those who have prepaid subscription fees.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Sword of the New World: Granado Espada official website through our Read Link, download the client, and try it out. After all, you have nothing to lose since it's completely free.
