RuneScape has just made an announcement to remind players about this rule:

Rule 12 - Real World Item Trading. RuneScape items must only be exchanged for other items/services within the game. Exchanging RuneScape items for items or other benefits in other online games, real-life money or other real-life benefits is not allowed.

This is to discourage players or parents of younger RuneScape players from buying in-game items and gold with real money and services as a Christmas present, as such accounts found guilty of violating this rule will have a serious chance of being banned. In the meantime, RuneScape admin also assures players that they have a safe way of detecting these transactions and that they are extremely cautious of unfairly banning accounts.

Now, what was it that Santa once said about being good boys and girls..?

Runescape

November promises to be a month full of updates for Jagex Ltd's Runescape. According to the November edition of OGRank's Behind the Scenes article on Runescape, new equipment and new creatures are only some of the things that'll greet players once the updates hit. There's also a new puzzle as well as the possibility of players getting their own imps, and most importantly, increased bank space! Now players will have some more space to store their new equipment in.

The new equipment will surely come in handy at the later parts of the month, because that's when the new Hunter skill will be released. The Hunter skill is a non-combat skill that gives players the opportunity to track, net and trap the heck out of the new creatures that will be introduced into the Runescape world. Now, why would you want to trap these varmints? Why, for the rewards of course! These range from new weapons and armor all the way to your own personal imp in a box.

Later this month, players can also look forward to Enlightened Journey, which centers around a monk named Auguste and his hot air balloon. Of course, the adventurous monk will need the help of a seasoned adventurer to bring his plans to fruition, so don't be surprised if you get an invite to his trip around the world.

Hark, thy Runescaperers! When doth thou last registereth thy account...eth? You guys would be happy to hear that Jagex Ltd. just announced the implementation of their Runescape registry payment via SMS/Text Message in the United States. Their clause states:

Payment by SMS/Text Message in the United States costs $9.99 for one month of membership. The higher cost of this payment method covers the additional costs we incur running the convenience of this service. Please note: Our other existing payment methods are still the same price as before. e.g. subscription via credit-card in the US is still only USD$5.00 a month.

RunescapeThis service is built on top of their Pay by Phone option and hopes to grab other players without credit cards. Unfortunately, both T-mobile and Verizon Mobile Phone Companies do not currently support the PayBySMS option in the U.S.

To start off (or continue) on your lofty quest in Gielinor as a paid member, just click on the "Start a new subscription" link under the Membership box in the front page of their website.

Now, click the "Read" link below to whisk your feet away to their website!
