Beta slots for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning to be given away - Image 1If you're looking to get a Beta Slot for Electronic Arts' upcoming Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, then here's your chance. The creator of the Warhammer table-top game, Games Workshop, has announced that they will be providing beta keys to lucky members of the community in their various events.

Your first chance to get an invite is by going to the Games Workshop Hobby Center at Yorkridge Shopping Center, at 1810 York Road, Lutherville, Maryland on September 12 to 16 and attending the Hobby Festival.  50 beta keys will be given away as well some pretty sweet swag that Warhammer aficionados will undoubtedly enjoy.

If you can't make it to that event, don't despair because you'll be getting another chance on October 12 to 14. Head over to the Games Workshop Battle Bunkers in Baltimore, Chicago, Seattle, or Los Angeles for the midnight release of the Warhammer 40k Apocalypse game. Games Workshop has given word that 100 Beta keys will be given away to attendees.

So what are you waiting for? Go over your schedule and clear those dates. Your attendance at these events might net you a Beta Key for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. The rest of us will have to wait till February next year when the game is slated to be released.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning screenshots and artwork - Image 1Breaking away from the real-time strategy roots of Games Workshop's PC title Warhammer 40,000, EA Mythic has come up with Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. This title is a new MMORPG that brings the continual war in the Warhammer Fantasy setting to the PC gaming platform.

Now, we've just gotten our hands on a pretty huge helping of new artwork and screenshots from Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. The focus is still on the Van Helsing-lookalike witch hunter who now appears in some new pieces of artwork along with his lady friend, the female witch hunter.

The screenshots, meanwhile, are a mishmash of various images of members of the Order and Destruction factions. Sighting include a few warrior priests, chaos magi and black orcs. There are also some screenshots featuring the different locations found in-game. You can check 'em all out after the jump.

One of the biggest factors in an MMORPG is questing. Most especially for a game like Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, quests are the lifeline of your journey. Spinning off from their RTS game Warhammer 40,000 on the PC, THQ and Games Workshop are now flipping forward to the MMO arena with their own quest-driven title.

Before the game gets released, you got to make sure though that you know the ins and outs of the questing system and structure of Warhammer Online. That's what the video below is for. It's nearly 20 full minutes of tutorial, as given by creative director Paul Barnett. There's going to be many forms that quests will come in the game, so get comfy. Your journey starts here:
