A sneak peek at one of the new content in Game Update 36 for SOE's EverQuest 2 has been put up on the game's official website, fellow EQ2 Players. This sneak peek focuses on the interiors of the Thexian Castle area.

The Throne of New Tunaria raid zone will be available in the game update and will reportedly provide more than a bit of challenge to the raid groups who visit it. Those thinking of taking the raid on will have to have strong coordination with each other in order to survive the dangers that lay within.

Game Update 36 is scheduled to go live tomorrow, June 28. In the meantime, check out some screenshots of the Felwithe Throne below.

HeraldWhen knights did battle, they always carried a herald on their tunics.

More than just a fashion statement (walking bulls-eye), heralds were carried as a visible indicator of which bloodline the knight descended from, and under which lord's flag they fought under; the Knights Templar also used it to indicate each knight's rank.

For the rising guilds in EverQuest 2, it's all the more important to have your own custom guild emblem to give your minions...err...teammates that sense of belonging. And when you've finally become bigwigs, a reason for your enemies to run.

We figured this is what the guys over at EQvault had in mind when they recently opened up their new Guild Cloak heraldry guide section.

It lists all the Emblems, Edges and Patterns available, and we highly recommend it for guilds out to give their logo that "personal touch". Emblems are available for lvl 15 guilds, Edges for lvl 30 guilds, and Patterns for lvl 60 guilds.

EQ2 Pumpkin!

It looks like the EverQuest II Community Team at EQ2 Players is getting into the Halloween spirit. They were thinking of something to do for the upcoming holiday, and all decided to carve a pumpkin EverQuest style. Hey, what else could you do? They certainly can’t make their offices open for the unwashed costumed human larval masses to proceed to and beg for their ever so important candy.

So, like zombies to human brains, they got their needed goodies and started carving. Check out the images.

Well, what will you and your gamer buddies do this Halloween? The Community Team carved up pumpkins, these guys are dressing up in costumes, what will you guys be doing? Hopefully a party or something physically social.
