Two months after the release of Burning Crusade, and already, the effect of it on the population of Azeroth is felt. The census data from WarcraftRealms.com – which ingeniously ignores characters below level ten - reveals that Blood Elves are now the most popular Horde race! Furthermore, the Horde:Alliance ratio is now more even than ever at 1.3:1. Sadly the Dranei hasn't performed as well as the Blood Elves, they're solidly in the middle of the pack for Alliance races. As for the classes, more Blood Elves are Paladins than any other class, enforcing the stereotype and boosting the Paladin class as the sixth most popular Horde race. 49 percent of Dranei's are Shamans, and almost half of the Shamans in the game are Dranei. Of course, Shaman is still the least popular Alliance class. Poor poor Dranei. Why do we hate them so? Is it the accents? Is it the annoying dance? |

So. News has just reached our ears that Blizzard, in collaboration with Eurogamer, will be giving out 100 World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade closed beta keys.Psyched? Well you should be! Because with this key, you'll be able to access high-level content, two new races (Blood Elves and Dranei), and tons more stuff that you otherwise wouldn't be able to get your filthy WoW-addicted hands on, hehe. Oh, and add to that the fact that you'll be getting this two months before the expansion hits the shelves on January, damn right you'd better be psyched baybee! All you have to do is head on to the Eurogamer site and answer this very simple question: "Which of the following Blizzard games is World of Warcraft based on?" If you have no idea, don't worry 'cuz there are choices given so you never know, you might just get lucky. Aaaand now, for the rules (or Eurogamer's version of it):

Characters in World Of Warcraftare more amazing than we thought. They not only slay monsters, cast spells, undertake quests - they have some slick moves on the dance floor as well.
You don't believe it? Here's video proof for you. The first one depicts a Blood-Elf doing the "male" dance, which bears an uncanny resemblance to some steps performed by the title character in the (very) low-budget film Napoleon Dynamite. The second is a Dranei "male" dance. It is apparently lifted from a Bollywood soundtrack, Tunak Tunak Tun, performed by Indian pop singer Daler Mehndi. All good and well, but where are the babe-a-licious Amazons, here? There are two of them, but our understanding is one shouldn't waste their eyesight on them, as they are "hideously dull." Hey - just watching Elves and Dranei bust a move is amusing enough. |
