Bigfoot Networks announced today that it will be making an appearance during BlizzCon 2007 when it happens at the Anaheim Convention Center in California between August 3 and 4. The good thing about this is that the company will be giving away Killer NIC network cards for fans who will be passing its booth. We guess you're quite familiar now what's the deal with Killer NIC. If you're not, then we're pretty sure that you have two major problems - namely lag and latency. Bigfoot created Killer NIC with Blizzard's World of Warcraft in mind, implementing Lag and Latency Reduction Technology for a better gaming experience. "World of Warcraft and the Killer NIC make a great combo. It is the huge demand for the Killer NIC by WoW gamers that brings us to BlizzCon. The fact Blizzard only allows ten companies to be sponsors of BlizzCon shows how much they believe in the power of the Killer NIC and what it delivers for games like World of Warcraft," commented Bigfoot Networks CEO Harlan Beverly. The above mentioned companies include Intel, nVIDIA, AT&T, Dell, Logitech, Creative, and Cisco among others. Bigfoot's booth number at Blizzcon is S101. |

For those who want to attend this year's Blizzcon but are finding their wallets a bit too thin to support the trip, here's some good news for you. The World Series of Video Games (WSVG) will be sponsoring one team from the World of Warcraft 3v3 Arena competition which will be held in Dallas, Texas this July 5 to 8 on an all-expense paid trip to Blizzcon 2007. Take note that the team will be selected at random from all the participants. That means even if you don't place in the tournament, you might be selected to go. The winner of the said contest will be announced on July 8 at 4:30 p.m. Since the competition will take place in Dallas, the above mentioned time schedule should be for that location as well. Anyway, you don't have to do anything extra to join this giveaway except to sign-up in the event because teams will be automatically entered into the drawing upon check-in. Like we said, the prize covers three all-expense paid trips and admissions to Blizzcon 2007 which will be held on August 3 to 4 in Anaheim, California. So, if you want a shot at going to Blizzcon for free, why not drop by the tournament and sign-up. Who knows, you might be heading to Blizzcon for free even if you placed last. Please refer to our Read link below for more details and for the sign up page. |

Looks like Drysc is right on the money. Just a few hours after letting the World of Warcraft community know that there were still ample supplies of the BlizzCon event's coveted admission tickets, the Blizzard rep dropped by the WoW Forums once again to let everybody know how the sales were going:Approximately half the available tickets for BlizzCon 2007 have been sold in the first 24 hours, and they're continuing to go rapidly. If you plan to attend, we recommend getting your tickets quickly, as they are likely to sell out soon. We thank you for your enthusiasm, and look forward to seeing all of you in Anaheim, California on August 3 and 4. Like the rep said - guys interested in making it to one of Blizzard's biggest events for this year may want to have their US$ 100.00 ready. The BlizzCon site should be your next step for your purchase. |

With all the excitement that's been engulfing the fans regarding the TBA goodies that will be revealed come BlizzCon, we just remembered something: how much will it take to get into the event? The official BlizzCon site has just announced that they're now selling tickets, priced at US$ 100.00 per pop, at a maximum of 5 tickets per billing address - we're assuming that last detail's a countermeasure for hoarders and scalpers. No refunds will be available come ticket purchase, with the BlizzCon event permitting entry only to people aged 4 and above - see if you can find somebody to babysit your zergling(s) while you're at the festivities. Just remember - The BlizzCon event is expected to take place this August 3 to 4, at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, California. Sure, 100 greenbacks does seem to be a steep price, but if it means a chance at seeing Kerrigan again...why not? |
