NCSoft has indicated that fans of its Guild Wars MMORPG may have to wait a couple more years until they get their hands on Guild Wars 2. The final retail version, anyway, as a closed beta could begin next year.

The surprises just kept coming from GamesCom 2009, this time around from NCSoft and ArenaNet. To attendees' pleasant surprise, they actually brought -- and showed -- the new teaser trailer for Guild Wars 2. It's been a long time cooking hush-hush, but now we get to see it.

As of today, NCSoft's MMORPG franchise Guild Wars has broken the six million sales mark. That's a LOT of copies sold. In line with this milestone, ArenaNet has released a major content update that includes new quest content and extra storage options.

Real-money traders beware! ArenaNet is cracking down on those accounts who are engaging in dubious trading practices such as real-money trading in its premier MMO title Guild Wars. Through press wire, NCsoft Europe and ArenaNet just announced that the Guild Wars franchise, spanning three campaigns and an expansion, broke the five million mark in less than three years. In its attempt to provide players a global experience, ArenaNet just released an update for NCsoft's Guild Wars that allows players from Korean language districts to visit American and European districts. Soon, Japan and Taiwan will also be able to interact with western players without having to go to International Districts. More on this at the full article.
