Pandaren - Image 1Just a week after the in-game pets for World of Warcraft were announced, one of the two variations has apparently been sold out, just goes to show how WoW-crazy some people get. The Pandaren Monk, listed for US$ 10 on the Blizzard pet store, has now been "sold out" in the United States.

But if you find it frustrating that you can't have them on your beloved PS3 and Xbox 360, blame Sony and Microsoft. According to Star Trek Online captain Craig Zinkievich, the two publishers don't understand console MMOs, making it difficult to bring the games to their respective systems.

Speaking at the "MMOs to consoles" panel at the GDC in Austin, Turbine VP of product development Craig Alexander makes a comparison between the two powerhouses of the seventh generation. His thoughts - it's easier to develop MMOs for the Xbox 360 than the PS3.

The latest company to announce a cutdown in the workforce would be Sony Online Entertainment, which has sacked 5% of their workforce, which would number at 41 people who now have to endure the rest of the summer in a different kind of heat.

FreeRealms - Image 1Earlier today, Sony Online Entertainment announced that the free-to-play, family-friendly MMO Free Realms now has more than two million registered users since its April 28 launch.
