Logo of Australian-based developer Auran Games - Image 1With all the recent shortcomings of Australian-based developer Auran, the company's former CEO Tony Hilliam has finally announced that Auran has decided to call it quits and close shop.

This declaration was contrary to his previous statement when Hilliam mentioned that operations will still continue smoothly despite the sixty-man layoff within the core development team.

Auran, Gamecock's Fury MMORPG - Image 1Gamecock Media Group and Auran Games have announced a new free to download, free to play business model for Fury. This will be implemented when the first major free content update called Age of the Chosen goes live on December 14. This system adds new player categories called Chosen and Hero which grants users access to more content than those who download the game and play for free.

The Auran Games Fury logo - Image 1With the Age of the Chosen update for Auran's MMORPG Fury due for release on December 14, Community Manager Alex Weekes decided let players in on more of what they can expect notably a new game type called Carnage.

According to Weekes, Carnage mode will help new players get used to Fury's competitive system by requiring them to slaughter more consistent and predictable bot. More on this after the jump!

Fury Build 31749 goes live - Image 1The folks at Auran Games have released the patch notes for build 31749 of PvP MMORPG Fury.

While it's a short list of changes that you'll notice in the notes, some notable changes include graphical updates for certain abilties and a fix for issues with unresponsive NPCs.

Fury releases a newsletter looking back at its first month since it went live - Image 1 Auran Games' MMORPG Fury has learned a lot as a fledgling MMORPG since it went live last month. In a recent newsletter posted on its official website, the developers talk about some of the new changes they plan on implementing to improve the game as a whole.
