These new security details will be implemented across the board in the territories of Europe, Japan and North America, specifically for added security on Final Fantasy XI.

Final Fantasy Online XI - Image 1Bannination is at hand in the land of Final Fantasy XI Online, people! According to a news bulletin posted at the game's official site, an issue allowing players to create multiple items for particular treasures and rewards in areas like Salvage and Assault were discovered on November of last year by the team. The consequence: permanently banned.

Final Fantasy XI - Image 1If things went differently, we could have actually been romping around Vana'diel and consorting with Shantotto on the PS3. Turns out that Square Enix had plans to release Final Fantasy XI on the PS3 as well. According to Hiromichi Tanaka, the PS3 version could have seen the light of day if only Sony didn't fall short on the bargain. More so, continuing plans of getting the MMORPG on the console are proving fruitless because PS2 backwards compatibility across all PS3 SKUs is looking quite impossible.

Tidal Talisman - Image 1Square Enix is offering a new item from their Final Fantasy XI Players' Collection. Called the Tidal Talisman, this little showpiece has a corresponding in-game item which you'll receive when you purchase the item. A must have for die-hard FF fans. I'd buy it myself, but only if it summoned Leviathan.
