ToontownKids whose parents are certified Mac-aholics would be pleased with this bit of info. Disney Online finally made the kid-friendly PC-based MMO Disney's Toontown Online available to Macintosh computers. Disney must have realized that everyone should get in on the fun and welcome Mac players into the wacky world of Toontown.

Mac users will now join the 15 million Toon characters created in the game. What's more, Disney is adding new "gags to keep players on their toon-toes". It's a little something for Mac players who got left behind for a good three years.

The gag bag includes the Wedding Cake throw gag, an Ocean liner drop gag, an Opera Voice sound gag, and more gags waiting to be unlocked once you reach the highest level on each of their gag tracks. These gags are fun to use especially when you go battling the Cogs. If you're not up to some Cog-nuking, you can always plant these gags using the recently added Estate Gardening feature.

Toontown Online for Mac and PC is available via digital download for US$ 9.95 per month. Extended membership packages are also available at special rates, so the the whole family can create their own characters.

Got a greenthumb?

The family- and kid-oriented MMO from Disney just got wackier, because in Disney's Toontown, not only do you create your own toon, furnish an estate, and team up with friends to repel the evil Cogs away. Now, you can expand your gardening! And how on earth is it possible? Jellybeans.

You can now plant your Jellybeans and help them grow, so in the future, you can pick them and sell for more Jellybeans to plant! You can hone yours skills at Jellybean-planting and buy better gardening tools. You can earn garden trophies and add a Laff Point to your status! Eventually, those that get to become a Master Gardener can place statues and fountains all around their estate. You can even use some of your "fruits" as gags against the Cogs!

And they say money doesn't grow on trees? Nope. They got it wrong. It grows on Jellybean trees!

Who knew that MMOs could be so squeaky clean and wholesome?

Kids and their parents are gathering their gags, gassing up their Toon's go-karts, and prepping their character costumes for ToonFest 2006, the first official fan fest dedicated to Disney Online's family-friendly game, Disney's Toontown Online. Thousands of fans, among them Kyle Massey of That's So Raven and the upcoming show, Cory in the House, will gather at an event at the Walt Disney Studios on Saturday, August 26, 2006, to play Disney's Toontown Online and take part in a host of themed activities and competitions.

Designed specifically for kids and families, the MMO is filled with nonstop play, ever-changing adventure and kiddie fun. It is a vast online world where you live life as a cartoon character. Players can create their own Toon, furnish an estate, customize a race kart, train a pet Doodle, and team up with friends to defeat the invading robot Cogs. With an arsenal of gags to add to the fun, the Toontown experience is always growing, always changing, and as wild as the imagination.

At ToonFest 2006, fans will take part in activities and competitions throughout the day including an in-game scavenger hunt,  carnival games such as Pin the Tail on the Doodle, a costume parade and contest, Q&A panels with the game's developers, and a sneak peek at future game expansions and features. Fans at home will be able to participate in the in-game scavenger hunt, as well.
