Out of Indiana comes a zombie oriented MMO from TMSGames. Their brainchild, Exanimus is in pre-production at the moment.

From their site, "Exanimus is an online massively multiplayer game created in a world where the dead live and roam the earth eating the flesh of the living. While most of the world is dead, there are small pockets of survivors that exist in barricaded cities across the globe."

They go on to say that it will be a "mature" environment, and that anyone under 18 is just going to have to go find some other game to play. Well they don't say that exactly but it's not intended for little kiddies.

More from them about the game environment, "Exanimus is a very dark and graphic game. Players will experience a very apocalyptic world, where everything is as bad as it can get, and then some more. Players should expect to see half rotten corpses walking around and tearing apart the bodies of the living for food."

Hey now, I can go for some of that, but I'd really need to see some good screen shots and in game video before I go forking over the money for the game, and the monthly.

You apparently can play as a human or zombie which may make for a decent twist, but it's all going to hinge on how well they can develop the story and game mechanics. My gut feeling on it though is that there are going to be a lot of hurdles for this one considering that they plan to publish themselves.

We'll keep an eye out for more developments.
