Artwork of Karak Eight Peaks, a citadel in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning - Image 1Once again we follow the tale which makes up the in-depth lore surrounding EA Mythic's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Much like any fantasy MMO game worth its salt, the background fueling it is just as important as the actual gameplay.

When we last left off in the intricate backstory which retells the Age of Reckoning, the tribe of the Bloody Sun Boyz began its march south to conquer the Dwarven stronghold of Karak Eight Peaks. The Dwarves in in their mountain citadel were confident that a single tribe composed of Orcs and Goblins stood little chance of conquering their city.

Their confidence, however, became their downfall as they underestimated the power granted to the Shaman Grumlock by the Witch King Malekith. Blasting a hole into the thick wall of the city, the invading army soon captured Karak Eight Peaks in a bloody battle following the unexpected breach.

This prompted Dwarf High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer to inform the Human Emperor of the fall of one of their mightiest strongholds. After which, the Dwarven ruler then began preparations for the retaking of Karak Eight Peaks.

Meanwhile, the Orcs and Goblins who heard of the Bloody Sun Boyz glorious victory soon swarmed around the former Dwarven citadel and bolstered the ranks of Gazbag's and Grumlock's army. Soon enough, another ferocious battle will begin and will take the lives of many Dwarves, Orcs, and Goblins with it.

Anyway, that's it for today's update of Warhammer Online. Stay tuned to this spot once again as we deliver the rest of the backstory behind this upcoming MMO title.
