Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning - Image 1Orange Games' gaming arm, GOA, and EA Mythic has opened up Guild Beta for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Needless to say, quite a number of people applied to take part in this event even with the recent content cuts the developers had to make to the game.

According to the press release, 10,000 guilds applied to take part in the beta. That's around 750,000 applicants. The lucky few who get in will be able to test Guild Public Quests, Heraldy features, new dungeons, scenarios, and user interface updates.

Marc Jacobs, the vice president and general manager of EA Mythic, was very optimistic about the launch of the Guild Beta. Before we go, here's what he had to say about it:

WAR’s Guild Beta is here and some of the world’s most experienced MMO players will now get a chance to play one of the most anticipated MMOs of all time. We look forward to seeing them beat, bash and burn their way through the world that we have created for their enjoyment. It’s going to be a lot of fun and it’s going to be glorious!
