DDOYou may laugh at the simplicity of this but Thanksgiving, simply put, is the time to give thanks: for our good fortune, good friends and good times. Speaking of which, it seems that is what Turbine is all about lately when it comes to Dungeons and Dragons Online. Recently, the developer updated its database based on community's suggestions as well as adjusted certain game features.

This Thanksgiving weekend, Turbine announced that they are bringing up once more the Risia server. This is to give players a chance to try and make suggestions about the new dungeons being added to the Evil Resurgent update. And since they are using the same servers and character data since Risia was last up, 10x the normal XP rate would be provided to help players move along the game at once.

Not that it is unfortunate, but Turbine would like to apologize this early that there are actually two known minor issues with Risia. First, players may encounter "weirdness and errors" because the UI that will be used isn't the final version yet. Also, Risia may not appear on some player's "Select Server Screen." This would happen in case the client was opened between the time Risia was last up and today. Turbine strongly suggests re-installation and re-patching of the client.

Lastly, Turbine underscores that Risia is being brought up again this weekend, so players can focus on the new missions and dungeons. Feedback and comments from loyal DDO fans would be greatly appreciated by the company. For those interested, and we know you are, the new dungeons are as follows:

  • From Beyond the Grave: given in House Jorasco
  • Dreams of Insanity: given in House Jorasco
  • And the Dead Shall Rise: given in House Jorasco
  • The Enemy Within: given in House Jorasco
  • The Spawn of Whisperdoom: starts in House Phiarlan
  • Haywire Grotto: an be picked up in House Kundarak
