We are on the brink of writing another Second Life article but after all of a sudden, it dawned to us that some of you don't have a concrete idea about this MMO. Of course, the game is pretty much all about that - a second life. But it has certain intricacies that are often misunderstood.

Take for example the general idea that everyone in SL started as naked. Honestly, they did not. Go ask Linden Lab if you want. Maybe they were thinking of real people being born, ergo, naked. Or there's a general urge to take off clothes, just 'cause. But that isn't exactly the case. On second thought, naked could be explained as a metaphor with avatars not having an inventory of in-game trinkets and whatever.

Another one of these misconceptions is that Second Life is easy money. In the past, we have covered some of the players getting rich because of SL. While these are true, just imagine how many residents are in there. One or so millionaire out of 1.5 million residents. That definitely is not easy money.

The list goes on and on. We guess all one has to do is to fully understand Second Life is to experience it first hand.
