A few days back, we talked about LOTRO's Ford of Bruinen and how it became a mute witness to Frodo's last flight to reach Elrond's home in Rivendell. Now, it is about time to talk about Elrond, the Half-elven. The son of Eärendil and Elwing and the Master of Rivendell, he is Middle-earth's wisest master of lore and healing. He is also the wearer of the Vilya, the Ring of Air, the greatest of the three Elf-rings (Nenya and Narya being the other two). The ring was given to him by Gil-galad, the great Elf-king.
Elrond is one of the good guys, but you already know that by now. He was responsible for gathering the Nine to become the Fellowship which later on helped Frodo in his quest to destroy the One Ring. In the game, Elrond will be seen as a powerful force in helping the Free Peoples in their struggles against the gathering darkness. Players could often seek refuge in Rivendell since it is strategically located in a protected valley at the foot of the Misty Mountains. Surely, in your stay, Elrond and his people will shower you with knowledge and guidance.
