Stargate Worlds Diary 3 Discussions - Image 1

Based on American media company Metro Goldwyn Mayer"s (MGM) widely acclaimed 90s science-fiction television series, Stargate SG-1, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment's creative director has announced that the Arizona based software development company has another promising MMORPG game currently in the works for fans of the said genre.

Based on the early episodes of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Worlds revolves around the premise of people being transported through the infinitesimal vastness of space at  "eye-blink" speed through Stargates which are wormholes believed to have been created by the alien race Goa'uld to control the universe. But it is soon revealed that it was actually the Ancients who were responsible for these wormholes. The Ancients are a race closely linked to Earth which disappeared into the cosmos and were once allies of such races as the Nox, Furlings, and Asgards.

With this lavish story plot to play on, how well the game shall progress for gamers shall still depend on the decisions they make regarding their missions or "beats" as many have come to call them. Here, the emotions are evoked through these beats which can range from a single mission to a multitude of tasks that shall test the skill and mettle of gamers as they play. Success or defeat only depends on how well the players use their brawn and wit throughout these beats.

With all of these in mind, Stargate Worlds will offer gamers vast alien worlds to explore and numerous ancient civilizations to interact with while placing a premium on storytelling as a distinguishing character of the game. As the past Stargate SG-1entertained generations of science fiction aficionados, players can expect the Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment team to put a significant degree of storytelling upon Stargate Worlds as it shall delve deep into the well of the Stargate SG-1's meticulously made story.
