Game developer Webzen, Inc. has announced that the beta version Soul of the Ultimate Nation has been released in Korea.

SUN promises more gaming enjoyment in less time than others. Players seeking instant gratification can form parties and jump right into battle via a unique "Battle Zone System,"  and travel through an ever-ready, ever-growing fantasy world featuring amazing graphics. As with other popular games, SUN features the usual cast of emperors, armies, magicians and various types of monsters.

During its initial beta testing, Korean gamers gave this one high marks to the BZ System, which allows players to alter the map's difficulty level and adjust compensation. The current beta testing will add more enhancements to the field maps, as well as a new systems for competitive hunting and ranking.

Nam Ju Kim, Webzen CEO, had this to say: “After the amazing success of MU Online in Asia, we have worked extremely hard to bring fans the kind of triple-A online gaming experience they expect of WEBZEN’s second game in Soul of the Ultimate Nation...by listening to player feedback from previous closed beta tests and fine tuning the game’s beautiful and stunning graphics and innovative action systems, we believe that Soul of the Ultimate Nation has all the necessary features to make it a leader in Asia’s next generation of MMORPGs."

SUN is scheduled for a North American release as well, before the summer of 2007.
