Video game developer Silverlode Interactive sent QJ.NET a press wire regarding the free-to-play version of the MMORTS (massively multiplayer online real-time strategy) game Saga. The game was developed with the help of Wahoo Studios.
The cool thing about this free game client is that it allows those who will be using it to play in the same realms frequented by paying players. Of course, some of the features will be locked to keep the advantage of the subscribers.
"We needed to protect the in-game market and other inter-player
relations from being flooded with input from free-to-play accounts," said Silverlode Content Manager and Producer Kynan Griffin. The official provided the following differences and similarities:
- Some features are locked, such as the online auction house, official
rated battles, and the ability to create and join guilds.
- The free version will
even allow players to do cooperative party quests alongside the full
version players.
Silverlode also mentioned that those who will be trying the free client and opt for subscription will only be paying US$ 19.95 to unlock the full version. This, take note, will not reset a player's nations, troops, and items.
