Mirror's Edge - Image 1There will be sequels for Dead Space and Mirror's Edge. This is what Electronic Arts reassured the awaiting fans in the midst of the growing recession within the industry.

The publisher itself has been dealt a blow by the economic downturn, having to stop working on some of its games in development. But John Riccitiello, EA CEO, remained firmly optimistic about the two games aforementioned.

In a press conference earlier, he said, "Dead Space looks like a long-term big winner for us. Mirror's Edge is one that was very strongly reviewed. That one's gonna go forward - we'll be looking at some issues around the design to make sure IP is married with strong business."

He also commented on the recently launched Warhammer Online from Mythic, saying that he believes that the PC MMO "will continue to perform very well".

 » I loved mirrors edge

But I think sooner or later I would get tired of it so too many sequels will make it seem boring as hell and ruin the name of one of the greatest IPs EA has ever made
