With all the dedication and effort Webzen America is putting into Soul of the Ultimate Nation (Sun), it is such a shame we haven't quite updated our SUN database. It is a good thing the Director of Corporate Communications for Webzen Jason Wonacott was at hand recently to give updates.

SUN

The last thing we reported about SUN was about its Beta testing phase in Korea. Wonacott happily shares the game is doing very well -  explaining that in Korea, a title that has reached Beta phase is as good as a launched game already. SUN will then be opened to China first, before finally reaching North American shores.

Wonacott further explains that the American title will not be just a simple translation of the Asian Market version. According to him, one of the mistakes that some games make is they merely provide a translation of their games from one language to another. In the process, the translated version appears weird and at worst, the context and story totally lost. The key here, he stresses, is “Localization and culturalization."

SUN
currently employs the point and click movement, as well as the WSAD movement. The North American release is expected around summer of 2007

 » Long wait...

I've been waiting for SUN to come out international for a year and a year, seemingly, I'll have to wait one more year.
