Just as Sony Online Entertainment promised, the developers have recently released some new screenshots depicting all the changes in the upcoming game update for EverQuest 2. The theme of game update 44 centers on the concept of love and hate as the Shard of Hate exercises its suppressive influence on the people of Norrath.

Judging from the screenshots below, the developers were suitably able to capture the feel of classic struggle between good and evil (or in this case, love and hate). The dark look used in some of the major cities under the Shard's influence definitely hypes up the theme used in the new update.

Aside from the new look that was used, you can also see how they've implemented the improved game tweaks for rangers as well as the visual representation of ranged weapons through the options menu of the game.

All in all, the new changes will literally give gamers a new world to explore in the upcoming update. Let's hope SOE delivers the new content soon so that everyone can experience all the MMO goodness awaiting them in EverQuest 2.
