SOE President to deliver first keynote at 2008 ION Game Conference

It has revealed via press release that Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley will be delivering the first keynote speech at this year's ION Game Conference in Seattle this May 13.

According to the press release, he intends to focus on the past, present, and future accomplishments of SOE and the MMO industry in general. ION Game Conference Director Peter Freese was understandably very excited at the prospect of having Smedley open the event:

John Smedley and SOE have had an indelible impact in the online game industry. His insight of the past and vision for the future is a message we are excited to share with our attendees.


For those who want to attend the ION Game Conference, it will be held at Seattle's Marriott Waterfront hotel from May 13 to 15. Registration for this event has already been opened so you might want to secure a slot as soon as possible.

When GDC is exactly? Theres supposed to be news on Home that I'm waiting to hear about (Hopefully they'll give it a date).

And I'd wish for a date too.. Because if it's, let say, in summer or worse, it's not really usefull for now.
