RuneScape - Image 1It seems that a new MMORPG isn't the only thing keeping the developers from Jagex Ltd busy. The company has announced that a graphically enhanced version of RuneScape, called RuneScape HD, is now in the beta phase and can be enjoyed by paying subscribers of the game.

To access the newer graphics, just log in to your account and select "RuneScape High Detail" from the list. In case you're wondering if your system can run the game, here are the system requirements for RuneScape HD:
  • 1.5 GHz processor or higher
  • 256MB of RAM or more
  • 64MB 3D Graphics card, such as Nvidia(R) GeForce(TM) 3 or above
  • Sun Java 1.4 or higher
Of course, there are a number of other option you can play around with. To find out more about this, head on over to the official RuneScape website by following the source link below.

 » First and tipped.

For the record, my brother told me and I didn't see it on QJ.

*sighs*

I feel a flaming and loss in social status.

 » Its good

the update is good when it's on safe mode (high detail graphics on minimum), but my new feature is the full screen mode. It's not practical in areas with too many people but it works great for training.

overall the update is awesome: it's hard to believe that a game can look so nice running on just java... its graphics now rival that of some other mmorpgs..

 » Wow

This game still is pumping out updates. I used to play this when it came out. I thought it was fun...

I was young and impressionable.
