Dragon Ball Online: Coming to the X360 too? - Image 1A few days ago, we featured the first ever screenshots for Dragon Ball Online, the Dragon Ball Z-themed MMO video game being developed by NTL and to be published by Namco Bandai. But now, a rumor about Dragon Ball Online has surfaced. The rumor? A Dragon Ball Online Xbox 360 edition is also in the works.

This speculation erupted when developer NTL posted a job opening on GameJob. The company is looking for developers that would work on the rumored Dragon Ball Online for the Xbox 360. The ideal person for the job should have some experience in developing MMOs and for the Xbox 360. Of course C++ know-how is a must.

The Dragon Ball Online for the PC was already confirmed to conquer Japan come 2008 and this coming summer, testing phase in Korean labs would also begin. There is still no word about the game's availability in other countries, but if the speculated Xbox 360 version materializes, it could reach a worldwide audience.

But as of now, nothing about the Xbox 360 Dragon Ball Online has been confirmed, so everything is still open for speculation. Check out the GameJob advert by clicking on our read link below and speculate away.

 » my guess?

Only in japan; and this also mean: no xbox360 version.

But that's only my guess, because there is almost 50 new MMO each years in japan anyway, from square-enix to konami...

But if they wanna make money, they'll have to move in america since in japan there are 150M persons, in america there is ( canada&US ) 340M persons, and if they come you america, they'll surely hit the europe too with errr, a lot of people, I don't know how many though... maybe another 400M persons?

why wouldn't it be on the 360?

There are plenty Japanese eccentric games...just look at Enchanted Arms, Blue Dragon, lost odyssey, the game about the dying mucian, and another one

 » Why would they...

...release the game on a failing console? The 360 has had little to no success in Japan, Why risk losing money on the game by releasing it for the console.

If Blue Dragon couldn't even push more consoles ( With Akira Toriyama, Nobuo Uematsu, and Hironobu Sakagawa working on it ), what makes ANYONE think, a DBZ MMO will?

 » This is how...

The reason they would release a game on a failing system is, the only possible explanation, to make people buy it. The dragon ball series is one of, if not the most popular anime series out there, contributed largely by the game industry. By releasing a game that could be the best in the series on a system even though the system isn't selling well, people MIGHT come and buy the system to play the game. I've already read some people who are set on the idea and have stated that they will buy an XBox 360 if it does come out on it.
