In response to overwhelming demand from players, Flying Lab Software is releasing a sneak preview of Pirates of the Burning Sea two weeks before the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The video, running about a minute and a half, is being hosted by FLS partner Coldfront Network, was directed by a machinema filmmaker who goes by the name of Sevker and feautures an original music score that evokes the epic adventure films of Hollywood's Golden Age.

This promotional trailer will be followed up in the coming months by additional videos made in-game. FLS plans to release these films about every three weeks, on the average. Gaming aside, it is the opinion of this writer that the trailer represents a fine example of the artistry achievable in the medium of machinema film. But don't take my word for it...
