Bethesda's Pete Hines comments on the company's investment on the new Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG - Image 1Well, it's official. In a quick interview conducted with Bethesda's Pete Hines, he talks about the recent injection of the company's investment with the new online group that will be spearheading the Elder Scrolls Online game that was rumored a little while back.

The recent acquisition of the new domain, elderscrollsonline.com, by Bethesda Softworks brought about many questions as to the direction the legendary RPG series will be taking. Bethesda has already invested a whopping US$ 300 million into the project and will be looking to ZeniMax Online Studios to handle the upcoming projects they have planned.

When asked how this new development will reflect on the series, Hines had this to say on the matter:

I don't think that this funding changes our focus in terms of what we are about and are trying to accomplish. The additional resources will allow us to expand our publishing efforts-both our own titles and those of other studios-and to pursue development of more titles, working with internal and external development teams.

Asides from this, Pete Hines was still pretty tight lipped about the project in general. Hopefully, we'll have more news as the days go by so stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
