The demon race you might know from Warcraft III (Eredar) has been announced to be the new Alliance race under the name of Draenei in the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade. This has just been announced by Blizzard at E3 in Los Angeles.
A lot of rumors have been circulation for a while now about this new race, ranging from Pandaren (panda's) to rats and Murlocs. They started after Blizzard announced the Horde race for the expansion, the Blood Elves.
The huge screen at the Vivendi booth at E3 currently shows a trailer of the Draenei in full gear and action. In a press release Jeff Kaplan, lead designer of World of Warcraft, said: "Lots of players have wanted to play demons, and Draenei are the closest you can get to looking like an Eredar."
