LOTRO

We know how important music is for a lot of gamers. And when you're talking about some tunes for a Lord of the Rings game, you can't help but feel a bit iffy. If the movie soundtrack would be used to base anything for the game, we could expect a bunch of Enya music in there as we battle wraiths up on Weathertop Hill.

Fear not. LOTRO isn't taking Enya-influence from the movie soundtrack. And here's something to prove it. We just got a nifty little sound clip from the game's Character Creation sequence.

We're actually surprised. It doesn't sound the least bit like anything from Peter Jackson's movie trilogy. This one's more unique, what with all the guitar strings and violin chords blending together into a quasi-Celtic pseudo-Texan partly-Brokeback music track.

As instrumental songs go, this one's actually a good composition, and one that won't even need you to be a LOTR fan to enjoy. Maybe even if you're a self-admitted Enya fan, you might end up liking it as well! Check it out; download the track below.
