Screen1Feargus Urquhart is the commander in chief and ex of Black Isle, makers of the ever famous RPGs Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc. When Eurogamer interviewed Feargus, he explained the new mechanics which is the direct control of a party than being alone like in the first Neverwinter Nights. So does that mean, it would be like Baldur's Gate but in 3D? That would be great in my opinion. He also gave a walkthrough about the famous Neverwinter tool-set on how it was improved from the previous one.

They talked about what is the core of Neverwinter Nights 2 which he stated that it is a combat-centric RPG compared to Planescape: Torment and on the story that they tried to take the game in a direction where you understand how the environment affect your character. They also elaborated on the new party system that would occur. It is almost like the party system of Knights of the Old Republic 2. They also talked about that the idea of creating a world for Neverwinter Nights 2 is harder than Knights of the Old Republic since Star Wars has a definite world already compared to Forgotten Realms.
