If a promo has proven popular past, it makes sense to bring it back for a return engagement, right? Well, NCsoft will be doing that real soon with the experience rate in City of Heroes: players may enjoy double the usual amount of experience for one weekend.

According to NCsoft, the double experience promo period will start on Friday, February 8, 2008  and end on the evening of Sunday, February 10, 2008. The promo will cover all defeat rewards, experience, prestige, influence and infamy earned.

Given the server downtime and intermittent forum connectivity that City of Heroes players have had to be patient with recently, perhaps this is NCsoft's way of assuaging fans and giving them a much-needed break.
