If you fancy yourself a collector, as well as a connoisseur of MMORPGs, then this bit of news should interest you. While we all know that the Collector's Edition of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be packing quite the extras in as reported in an earlier news update, we don't have info on just what sort of in-game goodies it'll yield. EA Mythic gives us the scoop on just that, and frankly we can't wait to get our digital mitts on them. First up in this virtual treasure trove that comes with the Collector's edition is an in-game item known as the Librams of Insight. When used, Librams of Insight grants you a special insight into their own actions and earn experience at a higher rate for a limited time. That means you'll be able to rack up the EXP quicker and faster for one whole hour. There's a catch, though - besides having to wait an hour and a half for cooldown, there's also the deal about it only usable three times. So make it count! There's also the deal about having twelve exclusive bonus quests awaiting Collector's Edition owners at the very start of their game. These quests, when fulfilled, nabs the player more in-game rewards - the best one being a unique character title that you can show off to the hordes. In an MMORPG, that extra bit of customization is pretty handy, in distinguishing yourself from the many other players. Speaking of customization, the Collector's Edition also has bonuses for those of us finicky about our avatar's appearance: the inclusion of twelve bonus heads. That's twelve more choices to pick from, if the current lineup of faces and noggins don't quite catch your fancy. Well, this is all well and good for a bunch of stuff you'll be getting for free when the copies themselves get shipped. But what about now? EA Mythic's thought of that too. Pre-order the Collector's Edition and you get two exclusive in-game items, a guaranteed access pass to the Open Beta, and special early access to the live game. Talk about piling on the good stuff! So, what are you waiting for? The clock starts ticking now, and you'll have to be quick if you need a copy - only 60,000 of these babies will be up for sale, and for a price of US$ 79.99 at your favorite videogame retail outlets (as well as your favorite online shopping websites), it's a steal that won't be here for long. It's something to tide us all over with the delay, at least. Good hunting! |
