Lineage 2: Trial code ceation cut down due to account abuse - Image 1NCSoft's crackdown on illegal activities within its games continues. The company has recently announced that effective yesterday, April 29, it will be limiting the amount of trial accounts being created for its Lineage 2 MMORPG.

The developers explained that this move was done in light of increasing complaints from the game's existing players. The accounts, intended to be a teaser for aspiring players, were instead being abused by people who would intentionally harm the play experience of Lineage 2's community.

As a result, trial accounts will now only be attainable via the game's refer a friend program. Trial accounts that have already been activated before the announcement will be left active.
