Lego Universe - past, present, and future - Image 1

A few pieces of concept artwork for the LEGO MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) in the works, LEGO Universe, are finally released. The pictures so far look incredible (is that a LEGO-fied 'attack of the aliens' scene in one of the screenshots? Hmm...). We also couldn't help but notice the 'past, present, and future' themed Lego people in one of the pictures...very intriguing.

There are also some details available regarding this new LEGO title: True to LEGO's philosophy of letting the players themselves build the game, LEGO and NetDevil assures that the game's development will involve LEGO fans by letting them work out the ideas the game's developers come up with. It sounds like the player's participation will go beyond playing the closed and open beta versions of the game.

LEGO also stated that what they want to provide "gaming, building, as well as social networking" in one great package. Well, they certainly won't fail with a nifty idea as this one. It would certainly rule if players can collaborate to build the greatest device ever. Online, of course.

» A video gamer's idea of unimagined things in any game!

This would be great when it comes out! It's got the perfect requirements for the perfect lego game! Help build the world?! And the past and present thing is no doubt the most imaginable thing that has different times! It would be so... umm... how should i say... Ultimatly Populated game ever heard of if the Ads go up, that you would need 50 different servers made, and increasingly large environments for the players! It'll be just like runescape, World of Warcraft, and some SOE games, if they keep up the updates and events, these guys will have made the ultimate LEGO online game, it may be the official online lego game. That is what i have to say about LEGO universe!
