IT Territory to use HeroEngine in upcoming MMORPG - Image 1

Russia's IT Territory game company is sending word that they have licensed the Simutronics company's HeroEngine platform for their upcoming fantasy MMORPG project.

No other details were explained as to what this new game project is, though we do note that Mass Effect creator BioWare's also taken an interest in the HeroEngine in their also-yet-to-be-announced MMORPG (according to the HeroEngine site). As IT Territory president  Igor Matsanyuk stated regarding this deal:

We've selected Simutronics' HeroEngine because it has a complete tool set and has the best solutions and environment for developing a top-notch MMO title. We wanted to see the results of our work fast, and our team needed a technology that was both sophisticated in its results and yet easy enough to work with!

Here's to hoping that IT Territory makes good use of the HeroEngine. On a more positive note,  IT Territory is the region's distributor of Turbine Inc's The Lord of the Rings Online MMO.

We're hoping this experience grants their homegrown team the knowledge they'll need to churn out their very own high-profile title. We'll let you know if any extra details regarding this matter are announced. Simutronics' HeroEngine is currently on show at the ongoing Game Developers Conference, and can be found in North Hall booth 6405 of the Moscone Theater in San Francisco.
