Guild Wars: Eye of the North - Image 1NCsoft and ArenaNet have both released some information that finally ties down the release of the Guild Wars expansion Eye of the North to a specific date. According to a joint announcement from both companies, the expansion will be released to the European public on August 31.

The expansion has a suggested retail price of UK£ 24.99 (US$ 50) or € 34.99 (US$ 48). The Eye of the North expansion will continue ArenaNet's no subscription fee model and will bring new content to players who have both the expansion and any one of the three previously released Guild Wars games - Guild Wars, Factions, and Nightfall.

The expansion contains a variety of new content geared towards veteran Guild Wars players including 18 multi-level dungeons, 150 new skills for all ten professions, 10 new heroes, 40 new armor sets, and more. Eye of the North will also let players preserve their titles and accomplishments from the previous three Guild Wars campaigns for use in the upcoming Guild Wars 2.
