If you're a Beatles-fanatic like this writer here, you're also probably tempted to sing the part in the Beatles' "Across the Universe" song that goes "Jai Guru Deva Om..." Although we can only guess what that phrase really means, at least we know now what the Hindu word Deva means, thanks to Gala-net's fantasy MMO, Rappelz.

Say what? You don't know what Deva means? Tsk tsk tsk. Then you should be reading up on the game 'coz Rappelz will have Deva as the goddess of light, along with Asura, who represents darkness. Although in Sanskrit, Deva literally means god or deity (or angel, if you will), in Rappelz, Deva comes off as the meanie because the Gaia (humans) will be battling it out with the hordes that Deva and Asura have sent to destroy them all.

And to get a preview of all the Gaia action against the mad hordes of Deva and Asura, here's an action-packed trailer showing tons of battle sequences that'll surely pique your interest. You might have to bear with the cheesy music (with the obvious intention of making the video all grandiose and epic) but the action sequences and effects are top notch. Rappelz should be making its way to your PCs on December 31st, so while waiting, getta load of all the action and watch the trailer right here. Enjoy!
