An Aquilonian assassin in Age of Conan - Image 1Most fantasy-themed MMORPGs out there tend to have at least one character class dedicated stealth and silent kills. Since Funcom had dealt with the  soldier classes in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (PC, Xbox 360) last time, Funcom system designer Evan Michaels has now shone the spotlight on the rogue assassin class.

According to Mr. Michaels, the assassin class in Age of Conan is far from being just a "loner class." Funcom has equipped Age of Conan assassins with talents that can aid a group or party, such as the ability to remove poison effects from a group or an area of effect skill that leeches mana, stamina and health away from the target and back to the party.

With a formidable repertoire of poison and unholy attacks, combos, and other strategic tools that Funcom has left at the assassin's disposal, playing as the silent killer in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, regardless of whether players take the solo route or not.
