PC gamers who are looking for a bit of high-quality, genre-twisting action will be glad to know that Flagship Games has opened its Hellgate: London Beta tests to people who didn't pre-order the title. Those who did, however, get an outright berth at the beta.
If you're interested in an FPS with RPG elements inspired by the immortal Diablo series, you probably should check Hellgate: London out. It was made by the same people behind Diablo and Diablo II after they broke away from Blizzard North and now they have a project that's looking ready to contend with the best that the market has to offer.
Item collection, player skills and character builds will all matter in this exciting new title which can be played both online or in a 40-hour single player campaign. Look for the backdrop to be gothic and creepy in a good way because this one should be a blast.
