 Square Enix and PlayOnline are sending out word that changes are coming to the MMORPG Final Fantasy XI (also on Xbox 360). The two companies added that these will take place when the next version update goes live.
To be more specific, the planned improvements include changes to the character abilities that will affect Fellows and the use of magic. Here's the rough note provided by PlayOnline:
- Magic and other abilities you use on party members will now also benefit the fellow you summoned.
- Fellows will be able to use a greater variety of equipment.
- Fellows will no longer use the following weapon skills:
- Spinning Attack
- Cyclone
- Circle Blade
- Shockwave
- Spinning Scythe
- Earth Crusher
Note that the list provided above is by no means the complete one. We expect that PlayOnline and Square Enix will be revealing more as we get closer and closer to the target launch of the update.
